Why FB4K Matters

Across the country, millions of kids face challenges that hold them back from healthy, joyful childhoods.

Childhood diabesity affects more than 15 million young people. Another 17 million are considered at-risk, facing barriers to physical activity, safe transportation, and emotional well-being.

At the same time, millions of bicycles—many of them almost new—end up collecting dust in garages, taking up space in warehouses, or heading toward landfills.

FB4K sits at the intersection of these problems with a simple, elegant solution:

Give every child the chance to ride.

How We Make Change Happen

We partner with manufacturers, retailers, and families to capture bikes that would otherwise go to waste—returns, unsellable inventory, outgrown or unused bikes—and give them new life.

Volunteers clean, repair, and restore each bike, ensuring it’s safe, beautiful, and ready for a new rider.

The bikes then go back into the community, where they become more than just transportation. They become tools for freedom, social connection, self-esteem, physical well-being, and eco-friendly impact.

By turning excess into opportunity, and waste into mobility, FB4K proves that a bike can do far more than move a child from one place to another.

It can move an entire community forward.
